Administer the Spray:

• Insert the tip of the spray bottle just inside the open nostril. Do not push it deep into your nose. Point the tip slightly away from the center of your nose (toward the outer corner of your eye) and slightly upward. This targets the turbinates (where the medicine needs to go) and avoids the sensitive nasal septum.

• As you begin to gently inhale through your nose, press down firmly and quickly on the pump to release one spray.

Breathe and Avoid Contamination:

• Breathe out slowly through your mouth.

• Do not sniff hard immediately after spraying. This pulls the medication into your throat instead of keeping it in your nose. A gentle, normal breath is fine.

• Do not tilt your head back.

Repeat for the Other Nostril:

• Switch hands, using the other hand to hold the bottle and the first hand to close the other nostril.

• Repeat steps 4-6 for the other nostril.

Clean Up:

• Wipe the nasal tip with a clean, dry tissue or cloth and replace the cap. Do not wash the tip with water, as it can contaminate the liquid inside.

• Avoid blowing your nose for at least 15-30 minutes after using the spray to allow the medication to be absorbed.
